TRADITIONAL SWEETS
As every place in Greece has its own culinary traditions, so Corfu has a tradition of sweets that stand out from other places.
The gastronomy of Corfu is influenced by all the peoples who passed through it. French, English, Italians, Jews, refugees from Asia Minor and Pontus, as well as Epirotians and other Greeks, inhabited it over the centuries.
The roots of most sweets come from the Venetian period and today they have been characterized as the traditional sweets of Corfu. “Throughout the Middle Ages, Venice was the only center of sugar traffic and trade.”
We were the first to use these traditional recipes, 60 years ago. We keep them to this day. They will complete your meal like desserts, they will be the “treat” in visits, and they will give a sweet note any time of the day you taste them.
